Lee Pitts has distinguished himself around the country as one of the most diversified leaders in our country. Pitts, who rose from the Collegeville Housing Projects in Birmingham, Alabama, is one of seven children raised alone by his mother. Pitts is a vice president at Wachovia Bank, where he manages the community development-lending department for South Florida. Pitts is the founder of the Lee Pitts Swim School, a nationally recognized swim program established to teach free swim lessons for disadvantaged youths. He is the only swim instructor to be inducted in the Boys and Girls Club National Hall of Fame. Pitts produced, directed and starred in the and only swim lesson video that features an African American swim instructor and African American children. The award winning video entitled, “Waters: Beginner’s Swim Lesson for Adults and Children with Lee Pitts” has received numerous awards. He is the first African American to teach swimming in Haiti and in Africa. Pitts is host and executive producer of the award-winning television talk show, “Lee Pitts Live” which airs on FOX 4 in South Florida. The show has received five NAACP Image Awards, Hodges University Diversity Excellence Award, and the Southwest Florida’s People’s Choice Award. It is first and only TV talk show in S.W. JAMEL WADE – Executive Director/Writer/ Producer/ Director/Singer/Lord The native New Yorker from of Fort Green, Brooklyn is a graduate Villa Julie College and Howard Community College, with a Bachelors in Film, Video and Theater and an Associates in Theater Performance and Technical Theater. He has appeared in The Rep Stage production of Anna Lucasta; South Pacific with the Heritage Players, Repeat Offender with the Howard "G" All Stars and most recently The Waiting Room with the Laurel Mill Playhouse and The Seven Lights Production of From Superman To Man. His film and television credits include NBCs Commander-in-Chief, HBO’s The Wire and the independent films The Highjacker and the Hound, and the TV pilot Behind the Badge. He has been in love with the entertainment industry since the age of 8 years old. As a child he studied at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and spent many days hanging around at Al Fann’s Theatrical Ensemble in Harlem. His directorial debut in 2003 What Face Evil, for the Try It Out Theater Company, was another milestone. Besides acting and directing, singing and writing. In 2005 he was instrumental in the founding of Seven Lights Productions Inc. Through Seven Lights he directed the award nominated documentary Directors on Directing starring Bill Duke, Robert Townsend, Fred Williamson, Melvin VanPeebles and many others. Film projects in pre production are No Tomorrow (2012) & Shades of Grey (2013). His theater productions for 2010 – 2011 season are Superman to Man, Everyman, Runway “22”, Faust, Fences, and Everywoman the season opens with the DC Black Theatre Festival and continues at the famed amusement restaurant Dave and Buster’s Washington DC July 22nd, 23rd, & 29th with Superman to Man the fame novel by J.A. Rogers. Jamel is working on producing two spiritually based productions with Patrice Johnson, Lynden Bridges and her film Wisdom Seeds.
